Publishing

Do I need a browser extension?

Yes. The TouGaoYa Bridge extension handles login, page extraction and publishing inside Chrome/Edge. Platform adapters are delivered as plugins — new platforms are installed with one click in the plugin manager, no extension reinstall required.

Which platforms are supported?

There are 26+ official platform plugins, including WeChat Official Accounts, Weibo, Zhihu, Juejin, CSDN, Bilibili columns, SSPAI, Jianshu, Sohu, Xueqiu, Douban, Yuque, OSChina, SegmentFault, Cnblogs, Baijiahao, 51CTO, Typecho and more — install them with one click in “Platforms → Official Plugins” or “Settings → Plugins”. You can also connect self-hosted CMSs like WordPress and Typecho via official plugins. See Platform Plugins.

What if publishing fails?

• Check that the bridge shows “Connected · Ready”; the extension reconnects automatically with exponential backoff after a drop, and you can review pairing status in “Settings → General”
• Confirm you are logged into the target platform in the browser
• View the detailed error message in the History panel
• If the platform page structure changed, try refreshing the extension or updating the platform plugin in “Settings → Plugins”

What’s the difference between Free and Pro?

All editing features are available in the Free tier. The only difference is the monthly publish limit: 100 publishes per month on Free, unlimited on Pro.

AI

Do AI features require internet?

• Cloud AI service: internet required, but only your selected text is sent to the configured provider
• Custom endpoint: you can point the endpoint at a local inference service (e.g. Ollama, LM Studio), in which case data never leaves your device

Why is the AI polish result sometimes unexpected?

AI output depends on the selected text and model. Check that the selection is complete, or adjust the temperature / switch models.

Image Bed

Which image bed providers are supported?

GitHub, Alibaba Cloud OSS, Tencent Cloud COS and Cloudflare R2. Choose a provider in “Settings → Image Bed” and fill in the corresponding credentials.

Image bed is configured but uploads still fail?

• GitHub: confirm the token has repo scope, the repo and branch exist, GitHub is reachable from your network, and the token has not expired
• Alibaba Cloud OSS / Tencent Cloud COS: confirm the region, bucket name and credentials are correct, and the bucket allows public reads or has a CDN domain configured
• Cloudflare R2: confirm the account ID, bucket and API token are correct, and a public access domain is configured

Workspace Sync

Will cloud sync overwrite local files?

Push uploads local changes to GitHub. Pull merges remote changes into the local workspace. We recommend checking Status before pulling to review any conflicts.

Can I restore my config after switching devices?

Yes. If config follow is enabled for the workspace, config syncs with the workspace, and entering your passphrase on the new machine unlocks all settings (image bed, AI, sites, publishing). The asset library index and groups also restore. See Sync & Switching Devices.

Forgot the config passphrase?

You can reset it. The config area will be cleared for reconfiguration, and you can then set a new passphrase.

Asset Library

Where are asset library images stored?

The image files live in your local workspace and are dual-written to the image bed (when configured). The library index and groups sync across devices with cloud sync.

What if an asset is oversized?

The library caps each image at 50MB by default. Oversized assets are flagged rather than silently failing — compress and retry. See Asset Library.

Xiaohongshu Cards & Static Sites

What format do Xiaohongshu cards export in?

Single pages export as PNG; a batch export is packaged as ZIP (filenames keep page numbers). See Xiaohongshu Cards.

Do I need to install build tools for static site publishing?

No. TouGaoYa provisions a VitePress scaffold automatically, and GitHub Actions builds and deploys in the cloud after publishing. See Static Site Publishing.

Can I get a refund?

TouGaoYa Pro is a digital product and is non-refundable. Please try the Free tier before purchasing. See Refund Policy.

Technical

macOS says it cannot verify the developer on first launch?

Because the app is not distributed through the App Store, macOS may block it. Allow it in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Windows shows “unsafe” warning during install?

Since the app is not distributed through Microsoft Store, Windows SmartScreen may block it. Click “More info” → “Run anyway”.

How do I update the extension?

The extension will notify you in the Platforms panel when a new version is available. You can also update manually from the Chrome Web Store or Edge Add-ons.
