Getting Started

1. Download & Install

Visit the homepage to download the installer for your platform:

  • macOS: Download .dmg, drag to Applications
  • Windows: Download .exe installer, follow the wizard

Requirements: macOS 11+ / Windows 10+, 8GB+ RAM recommended.

2. Install & Pair the Browser Extension

TouGaoYa uses the TouGaoYa Bridge browser extension to handle login, page extraction and publishing:

  1. Chrome: install TouGaoYa Bridge from the Chrome Web Store  (recommended, auto-updates). Edge: install the offline package from the website
  2. Open TouGaoYa and go to Settings → General, then check the “Extension Bridge” section to confirm the bridge is connected
  3. Make sure the extension is paired with the desktop app
  4. The extension status should show “Connected · Ready” before publishing

3. Create a Workspace & Article

  1. On first launch, choose or create a local folder as your workspace
  2. Create a new Markdown article in the workspace; the article library supports creating folders, creating articles inside subdirectories, and shows a directory tree (empty folders included)
  3. Write in the left editor and see live preview on the right
  4. Switch to “WeChat Preview” mode to check official-account formatting

4. Configure Image Bed (Optional)

In Settings → Image Bed, choose a provider (GitHub / Alibaba Cloud OSS / Tencent Cloud COS / Cloudflare R2) and fill in its settings:

  • Paste or drag images to upload them to the image bed automatically
  • Image URLs are replaced with image-bed URLs

5. Publish Your First Post

  1. Install platform plugins: in the Platforms panel’s “Official Plugins” tab (or Settings → Plugins), install the official plugins for your target platforms, such as WeChat, Zhihu, Juejin or CSDN
  2. In the Platforms panel, select target platforms
  3. In the Accounts panel, confirm you are logged into the selected platforms
  4. Click the Sync button in the toolbar and choose publish or draft mode
  5. View progress and results in the History panel

6. Explore More

  • Settings — Adjust editor, AI, image bed, sync and other options
  • Pricing — Learn the difference between Free and Pro
  • Activate Pro — Remove the monthly publish limit with a license key
